Any kind of physical altercation starts with a war of words. Things usually spiral out of control when either of the parties involved forgets their limitations and engages in thoughtless provocation. The anger takes complete control of the emotions and all the sensibilities are lost in the moment.
A similar incident unfolded recently when a girl became the target of physical punches and kicks after she uttered something that hurt the racial sentiments of a group of children.
A playground becomes host to an ugly fight
Uploaded by a fairly new page called ‘FREAKOUTS AND FIGHTS’, the video showed a group of children gathered in a playground, around a slide, engaged in intense conversation. The caption of the video said that the young girl, who was surrounded by everyone, used a racial slur and that left all the black children around enraged.
The girl in the black t-shirt and blue jeans wore a terrified look on her face. She apologized for her mistake as the young black girls around her gave her a mouthful and did not back down from abusing her. No one had any idea what was about to follow next and the intensity of the violence had just escalated from this point. The girls asked her to stand up, but she refused to listen and that is when one of them takes a wild swing and punched her in the head.
That was all the ammunition the group of girls needed as they started pounding her with punches. The girl fell to the floor, and they did not show any mercy as they pulled her hair and tossed her around. Her friends tried to protect themselves but were unable to go help her. She got stomped on and punched continuously by the group of angry girls.
Amidst all the commotion, one of their friends gets stomped on and she screamed, asking them to not stomp on her.

While the young girl used a racial slur and thought it was okay, the other group of girls chose violence as the way to retaliate. Both the parties could have dealt with the issue in a more mature manner. Their immaturity certainly played a part in it but if such instances only force everyone to use violence, there exists a great threat to harmony in society.
