"Have a heart, don't break ours" is the Valentine's day message to Tesco from the people of Kirkcaldy at a council backed rally today.
The rally is being hosted by Fife Council along with students from Fife College. It's being held to support the local community in their bid to keep the town's Tesco open.
It's due to be closed in April as part of cost cutting measures by the supermarket giant, with the lost of 189 jobs.
Local Councillor and Leader of Fife Council, David Ross, said: "We've arranged this rally with the staff and students from Fife College following the unprecedented turnout at the public meeting held at the start of the month. Many local residents and businesses voiced their concerns about the potential closure of Tesco Kirkcaldy and the impact this could have on the town centre.
"We need to show Tesco that their Kirkcaldy store isn't just another supermarket, it's a hub for a lot of vulnerable members of the local community. We understand the difficulties Tesco are facing and want to work with them to try to find a solution that suits everyone."
Fife College Students Association have been asking people to join their social media campaign on Facebook and Twitter to let them know why they want Tesco Kirkcaldy to stay open using the #tescohaveaheart
A number of people will be speaking including the Council Leader and David Torrance MSP. Councillor Tom Adams, who also works at the store, will give the closing address.
