Essex Police are treating a house fire in Colchester as arson.
Emergency services were called to Tollgate Court at 4pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 8).
When police officers arrived they found it had already been extinguished. Nobody was injured but an investigation has started.
Investigating Officer, Dc Mark Peacock, said: "This fire was started deliberately at the doorway to this property.
"We would urge anyone who saw suspicious activity on this cul-de-sac on Monday afternoon to contact us."
